Bloodlines is a multi art form exhibition which honours and worships legendary artists lost to HIV/AIDS. A loving tribute to the many influential voices silenced by the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 1980’s and 90’s. The Huxleys work evokes the colourful rebellious and creative spirit of these outwardly LGBTIQA+ artists that helped shift the worlds of queer art and culture into new realms.

Utilising their skills of costume design, performance and photography The Huxleys work is designed as a joyous sparkling séance, celebrating queer excellence. Interpreting each artist’s influence and oeuvre in a uniquely Huxley fashion. The exhibition will feature large scale photographic work, video art, music, and a huge queer performative celebration.

Will and Garrett Huxley are Melbourne-based collaborative performance and visual artists.

The Huxleys are a dynamic duo of cataclysmic proportion who present camp commentary and spectacle across the visual art, performance and entertainment sectors. Their photography and performance art traverses the classifications of costume, film and recording. A visual assault of sparkle, surrealism and the absurd, The Huxleys saturate their practice and projects with a glamorous, androgynous freedom which sets out to bring some escapism and magic to everyday life.
